他說：「因為救主會再度來臨，所以最好的尚未來到！因為主正在加速祂的事工，所以最好的尚未來到。若我們把心和生活完全轉向耶穌基督，則最好的尚未來到。」
在總會大會星期日午間大會的閉會致詞中，耶穌基督後期聖徒教會100歲的總會會長暨先知呼籲聽眾，「將你的生命重新奉獻給耶穌基督。我呼籲各位，幫助聚集分散的以色列，並準備世人迎接主的第二次來臨。我呼籲各位，談論基督、為基督作見證、對基督有信心，並因基督而快樂！」
建造聖殿以及在聖殿中崇拜
納爾遜會長在宣布〔17〕座新聖殿之前談到，鹽湖聖殿以及聖殿廣場其他區域的保存和整修工程已經進行了五年，這項工程將在2026年底前完工。
在過去六個月中，教會已在五個國家奉獻或重新奉獻了九座聖殿，另有五座聖殿預計在2024年底以前奉獻。

他解釋說，教會正在「以前所未有的速度」建造聖殿，因為「主已指示我們要這麼做。聖殿的祝福幫助我們聚集幔子兩邊的以色列民。這些祝福也幫助準備一群人民，他們將會幫助準備世人迎接主的第二次來臨。」
納爾遜會長應許，定期在聖殿崇拜的人會得到幫助。他說：「在主的殿中，我們專注於耶穌基督。我們向祂學習，我們立約跟從祂， 我們逐漸認識祂。」
他還教導，遵守聖殿聖約會讓人更能獲得主使人鞏固的力量。「在聖殿里，我們會得到保護，不受世俗的打擊。我們會極為豐盛地體驗到耶穌基督和天父純正的愛！ 我們會感受到平安和靈性的保證，與世俗的動盪截然不同。」
納爾遜會長接著應許：「每一位真誠尋求耶穌基督的人，都會在聖殿裡找到祂。你會感受到祂的慈悲。你會找到最令你煩惱的問題的答案。你會更了解祂福音的喜樂。」
增強門徒身分
納爾遜會長說，所有的人都必須回答這個「最重要的」問題：「我會將生命獻給什麼人或什麼事？」
他說，他決定跟從耶穌基督這個決定，是他「作過的最重要的決定」，因為他在醫學院的時候，對父神和祂的兒子耶穌基督的神性獲得了見證。
Download Photo「從那時起，我們的救主一直是我將生活建立於其上的磐石。那個選擇讓一切都不一樣了！那個決定讓許多其他的決定變得更容易，那個決定給了我目的和方向，也幫助我度過人生的暴風雨。」
那些風暴包括他的妻子丹柔突然離世，以及在一片遙遠的土地執行指派工作時，「武裝劫匪用槍指著我的頭並扣動了扳機，但槍沒有開火。」
在這兩次經驗中，他都感受到主的安慰與平安。他見證：「弟兄姊妹們，主也會安慰你！祂會鞏固你。即使在混亂之中，祂也會賜給你平安。」
納爾遜會長敦促聽眾，「在你的餘生中——都要每週奉獻時間，來增進你對耶穌基督的贖罪的了解。」
他說：「要成為耶穌基督虔誠的門徒，對你而言，既不會太早，也不會太遲。」然後，我們將會充分體驗到祂贖罪的祝福，而且在協助聚集以色列方面，也會更有成效。
他邀請我們：「歸向基督，並『把你整個靈魂』獻給祂。這就是喜樂生活的秘訣！」
